D DDI’ve always looked at the grounds as protecting people from hot appliances when grounds fault but it seems a lot of people think the grounds are there to protect electronics…
Has anyone had issues with their electronics after moving into an old home with no grounds? I’ve lived in such a home before and never had an issue but I am preparing to move into a new one and am doing some new research.

aamu01I applied for a job on Oct. 10, was contacted for an interview on Oct. 12., interviewed on Oct. 23 and got the job offer on the 26 and now I have a start date on Nov. 26. I have already dealt with the lease situation (see What happens when a lease is not signed?). The new job is in Atlanta.

gogirlI am in San Francisco. I need to move out of my apartment and into a hotel today. I have about 12 boxes worth of stuff to move, and realize that a taxi probably isn’t going to help. Moving vans seem to require extensive notice- plus they are much too big for what I need. Does anyone know who to call to help transport you a short distance within SF when you have about 12 boxes to move with you? Thanks!
