look in the phone book. most moving companies move state to state.
You can find moving companies on the Internet (using Google) and in the yellow pages.
However, there are horrid, disreputable, dishonest weasels out there running moving companies, and there are horror stories about people’s goods being held because they wouldn’t pay an inflated price after the move; people’s goods being lost or stolen; etc.
Clark Howard has a website (clarkhoward.com). He is a consumer advocate with great suggestions and lists of reputable moving companies, how to find one, who to beware of, etc.
Also, any company who is a member of the Better Business Bureau will have a report on line on the BBB website. If there are complaints, it tells about them.

look for PODS online. They are like storage units, but they ship them to your house then once you have them all packed, they pick them up and move them to your destination.
