Can I deduct my moving expense from last year move?
scorpio
I moved from east coast to california in 2006 but i did not move my household stuff till 2007. I moved my stuff in 2007 that was around $5000. Can I still deduct my expenses though I filed last year that i moved from east coast but did not show any moving expenses. How can i file moving deduction this year because I am filing only one state this year?

You can’t unless if it is military related or your company helped you moved.
well its easier then you think and yes you can deduct the expense this year for last year. in any case you can read a great manual on tax deduction on movingcollege.org just click moving resources and download the IRS manual.
Good luck,
Nick,
