Have approx 12 boxes & need to get to a hotel. Taxi? Moving van?

I am in San Francisco. I need to move out of my apartment and into a hotel today. I have about 12 boxes worth of stuff to move, and realize that a taxi probably isn’t going to help. Moving vans seem to require extensive notice- plus they are much too big for what I need. Does anyone know who to call to help transport you a short distance within SF when you have about 12 boxes to move with you? Thanks!

Go to a hardware store and find a guy with a pickup truck. They will be driving in every minute or so. Offer $50 to help you move.
I would call the cab company and tell them your problem . There are some cabs that are small vans that might be enough for your stuff.
Otherwise look for a local parcel delivery service.
Or maybe a couple of cab rides.
try u-haul to rent a small truck for the day .
