What is the best and cheapest long distance moving company?

long distance move

I am moving from KS to NC and need to find a cheap and good moving company. I also want to ship my car instead of driving it cross country. Any suggestions?

  1. I would sugguest going to the Better Business Bureau’s website and looking at movers there or finding your local city’s page and checking it out. It will give you the breakdown of multiple companies, how many complaints they’ve had, and their contact information. Be sure to gather at least three or four quotes to ensure you’re getting the best price you can. That’s what I did when I moved from Indianapolis to Knoxville, TN and it worked very well. I hope this helps!

  2. You will want to get estimates in writing from multiple moving companies. Try to be as accurate as possible when you tell the movers what you will be moving. You will likely be charged based on either weight or volume.

Most moving companies have a minimum charge.
