What is the cheapest way to move long distance?
Does anyone know of an affordable, reliable long distance moving company?
Does it seem acceptable to move long distance for a job that pays twice as well?
I would sugguest going to the Better Business Bureau’s website and looking at movers there or finding your local city’s page and checking it out. It will give you the breakdown of multiple companies, how many complaints they’ve had, and their contact information. Be sure to gather at least three or four quotes to ensure you’re getting the best price you can. That’s what I did when I moved from Indianapolis to Knoxville, TN and it worked very well. You will want to get estimates in writing from multiple moving companies. Try to be as accurate as possible when you tell the movers what you will be moving. You will likely be charged based on either weight or volume.
Most moving companies have a minimum charge.
